Introducing Our Specialised Care
We carry out a detailed assessment before any support begins. This helps us understand the whole person and plan care that keeps them safe, well and in control of their life. Support is available 24 hours a day, with 1:1 or 2:1 staffing when it is needed.
We work closely with families, social workers, nurses, therapists and other professionals. Together we create one clear plan, so the person gets the same high standard of care from everyone involved.
Our team is trained to support a range of complex health needs. This includes epilepsy, diabetes, PEG feeding, medication management, complex communication needs and mental health support. Each person’s care plan sets out exactly how their health needs will be met, day and night.
Our support is flexible and can change as a person’s needs change. For someone in crisis, we can step up support in the community to help avoid a hospital stay. For someone leaving hospital, we can provide a steady step down back into community living.
Some people with complex needs show behaviours that challenge. We use Positive Behaviour Support to understand the reasons behind these behaviours and reduce distress, without relying on restraint or other restrictive practices.
All of our staff are DBS checked and receive specialist training matched to the needs of the people they support.
Having complex needs should never stop someone from living a meaningful life. We focus on what each person can do and what they want to achieve, not just on their diagnosis.
We help people build skills, take part in activities they enjoy and spend time in their community. Over time, many people gain more independence and need less intensive support.
OUR AIM
Our aim is simple: better health, more independence and a better quality of life. We want to reduce hospital admissions, prevent placements from breaking down and help each person move towards the life they choose.
